The great thing about the job is I learned what it's like to be on the other side. I've also discovered that my resume will usually get me in the door of a company if I send it cold or someone who doesn't know me well passes on my resume anyway. I loved being a cheerleader for the company and helping people get hired.

1) I’ve always found it extremely helpful to be and communicate that you are experienced, but willing to learn, be humble, and fine with doing the mundane tasks or dirty work. One of the most surprising things for me was to learn that not all companies will give you an expense account or a company credit card. Sometimes companies don’t validate for parking especially if you are doing testing at a temp agency and are there for a few hours. You’ll need to make copies of your resume or have a nice folder.

I also knew everything I was feeling was very true for me, but also confusing because if my boss didn’t need me, I wouldn’t have a job, I wouldn’t get a paycheck, and I wouldn’t have all this experience to put on my resume.
