" One of the most productive ways to update information on files is to either create or move a file into a shared folder on your companys network drive. If your company doesnt have a network, since you might be in a smaller organization, you can e-mail the file around to the various people and ask them to add their information.
Do you find that your staff are not being consistent with their memos, e-mails , the way they answer the phone , etc.? Another option is to create templates in Microsoft Office and either e-mail them to everyone or place them on a network drive for everyone to access. Just make sure to protect the documents, spreadsheets, etc.
Then you finally do reach a live person and you are so fed up with all of the time wasted, that you start fuming towards the person on the other end of the phone. Now put yourself in that persons shoes. Imagine that you were on the receiving end of the conversation. How would you feel?
