Narrow them down to the amount that you can manage (usually 3 - 5), but some people can do more or less. Having a to-do list can be very helpful in accomplishing your tasks, but also setting goals. Next, add a time frame to each task.

Thats how I get things done around my office, since I work for about 30 staff, which includes 5 managers. to the president, 3 VPs, and the HR manager. My suggestion to this is to be persistent. Thats how I ended up getting my current job. You should see my follow-up list. Its quite large.

What I discovered is a time saver and e-mail management tool that is a best-kept secret. I have written previously that to manage my work e-mail better I asked friends and family to send e-mails to my home rather than work. You will notice your Inbox will be less crowded and easier to manage.
