Oftentimes, they have never met me, but may recall my name or my boss’ name when I mention it over the phone. LOL I don’t divulge because I don’t have any and it’s not good to gossip. Be prepared that sometimes the job description you’re given when you interview is vastly differently once you’re in the job.
So there’s a lot of, you know, office gossip and stuff like that. So you really have to have a really strong head on your shoulders and just understand that you’re there to do a job and you know, don’t fall into the gossip or the watercooler talk or anything like that. You’re You’re there to do a job.
My question however, is… should I disclose the reason for my termination in my job interviews? I’m sure you’ve realized while it’s common to have a lot of office politics, it is not fun to work in a gossip-filled environment. Regardless, get a letter in writing on letterhead and their contact info for phone references from whomever.
