Some things that are nice to have on hand are a box of staples, various size clamps, extra pens and some highlighters. Organizing the desktop - I also like to have a clear desk with things I need in easy reach such as a stapler, staple remover, tape and some paper clips. Anything to put a smile on your face is good.

He was very self reliant so he didn’t want me to touch his unique filing system. I would pop the file on his desk so that he had everything he needed for the following morning. I initially worked on the travel plans myself but ultimately decided to contact a fellow PA in each office and ask for their help.

OneNote: My Filing Cabinet In The Clouds. create notebooks and files just like I would with paper, but now it is all organized on my computer. It houses so much more than a file index. This allows them to keep it within site, but all projects are kept in an organized file. Once the project is completed, the whole pile of that particular project can be filed away; out of site. Thanks to Ellen Delap of Professional-Organizer.com 3.

I was in back-to-back Committee meetings and I decided to use two different colours of folders, a blue one for the Committee members, with an attendance sheet stapled to the inside cover for my purposes, along with their meeting packages, and a red one for the Chair with everything the Chair was going to need. Try it, you may like it.
