The tool allows us to know where the business stands at-a-glance, view client data, track sales and expenses, create and manage invoices/purchase orders as well as see industry trends. It houses so much more than a file index. This allows them to keep it within site, but all projects are kept in an organized file.

Idea File – Ideas strike at random times, in the oddest places. Save recognized file formats to that folder and Evernote will upload to your account. Evernote recognizes text on the card, so you can search for names such as “Staples” or “Henry” when that’s all you can remember about the person.

Media for computer files and tape recorders are also items to keep in your supply cabinet. If they all only have CD drives, you won’t need to purchase blank DVDs, for instance. The reason is that people often want to burn a small file to a CD for a one time use, and don’t need to waste an entire DVD for that use. Post-it® Flags.

SOLUTION TO TRY THE 3x5 CARD METHOD Go to the store and purchase some 3x5 cards. I carry a Note Jotter by Staples in my purse and love it. This rarely works. Stop. Take time to think about what you should do and get a plan in action. WAIT! .

They are then placed in a reference (Rolodex) file by type of business and not the name. I File Them (Then I Forget Them). I file them away, and rarely look at them again. Staple the cards into a little notebook, one card per page. I purchase those bound books that allow you to store the cards in sleeves.
