If the participants are in different time zones it would be beneficial to put that information in the meeting comments. If you need to book hotel, air or a car rental as part of the meeting planning, I put the appointment in the calendar with confirmation numbers and toll free numbers to call if they need assistance.

A good assistant knows just where to find the document or file needed, or they won’t stop looking till they do. Be one step ahead of your boss. Be protective of your boss’s time.
