Living is inherently stressful, but how we manage it will determine the number and severity of the stress related symptoms we experience.

Take a 10 minute nap or a short walk to relieve stress. You need to take control of your life. Take a break.
However, many people run around stressed because they’re saying yes to everybody but themselves. Even if we can use this word with our spouse and children, we still have a hard time saying it to other people. It’s important to learn how and when to say no. I’m not saying that you should be selfish and never help anybody out.
Through employee attitude surveys, focus groups and pilot tests, senior management know that employees with lower work-family conflict have less stress and anxiety about “doing it all&# and are better able to focus on their jobs and their customers. It won’t work for jobs with direct customer contact. The employee will give more.
Work on difficult jobs first, or at a time when you’re at peak performance, saving the less stressful tasks for when you have less energy. Manage your time – Plan when you’re going to tackle tasks and allow enough time to complete all or part of them.
There are six areas in your life that can be improved through effective time management: The physical – being healthy with less stress and fatigue. Time management is about getting results, not about being busy. The intellectual – learning and knowledge growth and management. The career – your calling and work.
Having set an organizational pattern and knowing where you are going takes some of the stress out of the situation. From the example above, you could simply say, “I would like to tell you about how we started this project, where we are today and our time-line for completing the project&# , which is a chronological sequence.

Do you keep reminding yourself to do things that you think you “should do” but don’t really need or want to do – like arranging your vacation photos into a photo album, alphabetizing your bookshelf, sending out holiday cards?
