With the introduction of virtual meetings and teleconferencing people can communicate with each other in different time zones and locations very easily and a great deal cheaper than the cost of a flight. Pros: Multiple locations across all time zones. It is also not ideal for sales pitches or negotiations.

I knew we were going to go back to that city the next year so negotiated with the hotel that if I booked the next event at their venue would they waive the cancellation fee. Negotiation As you saw above, negotiation is possible. Fortunately, they were able to waive it and we only lost our $500 deposit. It is always worth asking.

The CEO I was working for at the time was very busy and my meeting scheduling skills were put to the test. He was also an international traveler so I had to learn everything about time zones, flights and everything in between when your boss travels to a foreign country. And travel he did.
