We both had similar skills, education, etc. After speaking with you and the group, I believe that I would be a perfect candidate for this position, offering the quick learning and adaptability that is needed for a diversified position. There are many teachers in my extended family and it seemed like something I could do well, but our family did not have any money to further my education and I became a secretary instead. I am sure I could have done well as I have learned nearly everything there is to know about getting someone from point A to point B.

I have always been a believer in sharing ideas and have received my best education from other assistants. I have been on some interactive sites where assistants ask questions and get answers and I learn from them as I have some of the same questions. Lunch n learns are also a good way to learn from each other.

She saw the importance of this training to help her daughter know the workings of an office from the bottom up and the office benefitted from her educational training. The administrative position can be a springboard for a management position if you want to go in that direction and have the right educational background.
