MBO Partners released a preview of their 5th annual State of Independence study. We worked with MBO Partners on this study. One of the key findings is that 79% of independent workers (freelancers, contractors, self-employed, etc.) report being happier working on their own than if they worked in a traditional job. 59% also reported they are healthier.

We had a wonderful family vacation last week in Traverse City. The weather was fabulous; the scenery was breathtaking; and there was so much to do. We went on a zip line canopy tour through the forest at Boyne City — my first time at doing this and it was fabulous. And now, it’s back to reality … It always takes me a little while to get back into the flow after I’ve been on vacation.
