The study covers a lot of ground, but what really jumped out at us was their their findings on worker happiness. As the study infographic shows, only 27% of employees at large companies are happy at work.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). What if the next great thing has been discovered and you’re so stuck in your ways that you’re missing out. This was kind of how I was feeling about the Headway theme framework for WordPress.

Because of the extensive media coverage of young tech entrepreneurs, most people think the average small business owner is a 20 something techie who needs a shower. But as the chart below shows, the median American small business owner is a bit over 50 years old. The chart is from Babson College's State of Small Business in 2016 study. It's a comprehensive, 40 page report covering a variety of small business issues.
