'Life Satisfaction and Self-Employment is an interesting academic study out of the UK. It shows that those who choose to be self-employed are not only more satisfied with their jobs than traditional employees, but they're also more satisfied and happier with their lives as a whole. There's been many studies showing the self-employed tend to be more satisfied with their work than folks who are employees.
