Here’s a hard truth that some of you will hate to hear: If you don’t stand up for yourself and specifically ASK for what you want, need and deserve in the workplace, you probably won’t get it. Horrible movie behavior, I know, and I'm glad I did it (fwiw, I wouldn't have done it, except there were only six of us in the theatre, and I knew I wouldn't bother a soul)

In 1967, two psychiatrists named Thomas Holmes and Richard Rahe performed a rigorous study to better understand the correlation between stress and illness.
