If your manager travels on one airline frequently it is worth downloading their app. Most will have details on flight times, on-board entertainment, electronic ticketing and lots of other useful information. One is the easier way, where you download a file; the other is the longer way. The reason I use the latter method is because our company policy is that we cant download any software that IT doesnt approve. To back up your e-mails in Outlook, simply download Microsofts Outlook Add-In file here.

Many of these free background and smilie packages (and screen savers for that matter) that are available for download on the web contain viruses and/or spyware. If you want to really make the IT guys mad, download one of those spywares that are so bad they have to reformat your hard drive to get rid of it.

You can find instructions to setting up this software here and the software download page here. Heres a free piece of software that was recently released that can do just that. In the near future, Blackberries, Apple iCals and many different types of phones will be supported on this software as well.

If you receive a file that was written in the Microsoft Office 2007 format, you can download the patch called Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats. It will take a short period of time to convert the file each time you open it, but it saves you time and money in the long run.

A template can be downloaded here. Make sure to provide feedback (positive and/or negative) so that everyone can obtain ideas from what is being said.
