In a nutshell Paper by 53 is a very simple app that lets you take notes, write checklists, doodle, draw, write over photos and screenshots. Assistants are asked to take down and remember a lot of information , so having a great note taking app on their phone can be pretty handy. What does it do?
I found the list in my ‘things to keep’ file the other day and thought I would share it with you all. Don’t keep your electronic equipment on if you are not using it – if your mobile phone is fully charged remove it from the charger. Recycle scrap paper for notes / doodling etc. Recycle any waste paper using the bins provided.
Notebooks – I have one hard back A4 notebook for meetings and one A5 scrapbook for scribbles, doodles and messy thoughts. Files – see my previous blog on my filing system. The phone should be on the desk as near to your keyboard and computer screen as possible. I use the small post-it index flags all the time as well.
Fortunately, there are numerous excellent and intuitive apps available for almost all phones using iOS and Android. Additionally, Monday also supports file sharing between various parties. Doodle – Makes Meetings Happen. Additionally, Doodle can integrate with other apps like Outlook and Google Calendar.
You thought you heard the phone ring this morning but you aren’t sure. Doodle on a note pad. Doodling doesn’t work with a pen because you can’t erase mistakes. Straighten up your files. Check your voice mail. Could have been a dream. Check your email. Wait for inspiration. Sharpen pencils.
