If you have to purchase stuff for your boss - ask to xerox the credit card, both front and back now. Are there favorites of anything your boss likes - their coffee, restaurants, cafeteria lunch food, etc? Don't forget about official, company, school, and religious holidays. If not, they will expect maps printed out, etc.

So, I usually take with me my identity card (in Europe I can travel only with that, I don’t need a passport), my driver license and my passport. In the form of the most used currencies (USD, Euros) or debit cards. I own only one credit card and I keep it topped most of the time, just as an emergency package.
