I still teach Adminology in our World Class Assistant™ certification and designation course because it never changes. Let’s take for example the task of meetingplanning or calendaring for your executive. To achieve your best results, you would schedule meetings or appointments for your executive using both sides of the brain.
I wanted to know the areas the assistants were interested in growing and learning about. When it comes to figuring out your soft skills, enlarge your vision; don’t just look at the tasks such as meetingplanning or calendaring. For example, what are the skills you need to be excellent at meetingplanning?
Meeting planners work well independently or as a team member. They tend to be life-long learners and students of experiential learning. They learn through doing, through the professional organizations they belong to, and through outside studies such as Certified Meeting Professional and Certified Meeting Manager programs. .
This is a good thing and a big learning curve for me. In starting 2019 off on hopefully on the right foot, I am looking for advice on how to stay organized with all the meetings. Making sure agendas are going out timely, meeting with leaders to create the agenda, taking notes, bringing attention to meetings, etc.

We really dont have an excuse because it is becoming increasingly easy to take courses online. All you need is to put some time aside and close your door, or put some earphones on, and plug into your computer and learn. I have had great experiences learning online in interactive courses.
