Comment by Ian McKenzie on May 30, 2007 @ 1:13 pm I’ve had similar experiences after trips; I travel to customer sites and while I’m onsite, I can’t typically keep up with the things I usually do when I’m in the office, so I find myself going through a similar process.
For example, if an employee reduces their work hours, they may not be willing or interested in taking a position or promotion that requires extended travel. Research studies have shown that for most people, working a flexible work arrangement does not limit their careers, although it may slow down the career path, or reduce some options.

Why Is This Important And What Are The Benefits Direct interaction with your audience is a great gift. I personally met a few bloggers I respect while I was traveling last year and it was a fantastic experience. You have instant access to what people really like or dislike about you or your work.
I don’t have the gift of expression like the blog/comment posters here. Looks like you’re gifted, too. All my life, people between these two small towns travel back and forth shopping at each other’s stores, and you won’t find one single store, not even Wal-Mart, that has a store in both locations.

There’s no substitute for plain old-fashioned persistence but it has to be fueled by authentic passion or it will falter and you’ll drop out of the race panting from all the exertion and may never know what life had in store or the true dimension of the gift you came to the world to give.

Going back to school was the best gift I could give myself. I don’t care how you do it, campus, traveling or from home, but you WILL go. i would rather pay for a year of them traveling world and experiencing life than pay for one semester of college. When my son graduates, I will insist on it. You may even go twice.
