I read something that made me pause, but because I was in a big hurry and felt confident that the other person was covering that base, I let it go. I am not sure if it would have changed the outcome, but at least I would feel confident that I flagged it for my boss. (New It is wise to take a moment and evaluate the situation.

A manager has to have confidence that you know how to do your job. I just did not have confidence that this person was going to be able to assist me. I always have more confidence something will get done when I see it being written down. Here are some reasons I think managers can get possessive: Im not sure I can trust you.

From writing that article I had confidence to take a job that required me taking minutes and it has turned out fine. I will not say I am the perfect minute taker, but it is something I now have confidence in doing. At the end of it, I knew how to take minutes and could write about it.

Networking within your own company is a great way to keep your current job or secure a future one. Be selective and go for the job that is the right fit and that you have confidence you can do. Have that information so you can be a problem solver, not just standing around wondering what to do along with everyone else. Be thankful.
