A few weeks ago I ordered my new MacBook Pro and I wanted a German keyboard, of cause I could not order a German keyboard, you can order a French keyboard? This time a friendly guy in my Apple Store told me I could pay $200/£100 extra and they would change the keyboard in store for me. installed not OS 10.5.

In other words, I wanted to be able to access my email, calendar, tasks, and notes from anywhere. The Tasks in Google Calendar is measly and doesn’t have the ability to set priorities, recurring tasks, and, most importantly, synch with my phone. Google Apps did everything except Tasks. Problem solved. That’s it for now.

I also have many contacts and calendar items. What’s worse is that as the keyboard is getting more use, it’s not as sensitive. I also keep a detailed calendar with anywhere from 1500 to 2000 events scheduled. I see the same lag switching in and out of the Calendaring application as I do for emails.

Typing addresses is easy with both the on-screen and the slide-out keyboard. I can group shortcuts and place games on one, navigation and product search tools on another, multimedia apps and pictures on the third, calendar, news and Office viewing tools on a fourth, with the home screen filled with social media and messaging tools by default.

Our organization uses Google Apps for our e-mail, calendar and cloud solution. On a daily basis, I make liberal use of the following two keyboard keys: 1. If there is a task involved, then schedule it in your calendar or put it in your task list. That will help reduce the clutter in your in-box. Lovin' Those Labels!

My favourite to-do list is a calendar timeline so I can see at a glance where I am at and what I need to do to get there. It is simply using an on-line calendar with space on each day to enter what needs to be done. To generate a calendar in Word 2007, click on the Office Button (in the top left-hand corner). No surprises!

To set a recurring 9-5 meeting (as opposed to clicking all-day meeting) I dont like the all-day meeting settings as they are out of sight at the top of the calendar and easily missed. His calendar then shows blocked time and nobody misses seeing that he is away. Your bosses calendar will now show Monday to Wednesday blocked from 9-5.

My boss likes me to print his weekly calendar on Monday so he can see at a glance what he has for the week so I clip that to the front of the folder. I then print his daily calendar and slip that in the left pocket of the folder and on the right side I put everything he will need for the day. I do this for each day of the week.

Once a date is finalized I put it in my bosss calendar and confirm the meeting with the other participants. Another benefit to writing it down is if your boss asks you to cancel it or to quickly tell you when the meeting is, you can look at the sheet rather than trying to search for it in your calendar. I purchased a small address book in which I can keep the website address along with my user name and/or password for each particular site.
