Do you want to walk over to their cubicle while their talking loudly on the phone and give them a piece of your mind? One of my readers asks: Ive been reading your blog for the past few months and really appreciate all the information and tips you provide! This happens to the best of us all of the time.
You can change this by having inspirational items around your cubicle (you can also read more on decorating your cubicle here ). Stick it to the wall of your cubicle, but make sure that its sitting right in front of you. You drudge into the office and plop yourself at your computer. You check your e-mails , you do your filing.

Currently there is a clerical staff person, sitting in a cubicle right across from me who has made my daily work experience miserable. First of all Ive worked for an organization as an admin asst for years and during this time I have seen many co-workers leave and have had to put up with a lot.

I recently added a post called " Outlook Rules That Rule " from a fellow Administrative Assistants blog. Then I have my faxes set up as green. Do you feel overwhelmed with trying to figure out who you should respond to first? There is another method to this madness though.
I found mine, but took quite a few jobs before this to get to where I was and a few thousand applications and faxing resumes later. But trying to find your dream job can be possible. You just have to keep looking until you find yours! Remember, money isn’t everything.

There are some companies that, unfortunately, don’t allow for purchases such as stationary , fax machines , toner , etc. Do you feel that you could find better buys, not just by going to the different stores such as Staples or Grand & Toy , but online as well? With this in mind, it is more about perception than anything else, thus there is no particular tried and true way a person can act to achieve success as it is all dependant on the synergistic quality between the employee and manager.

There have been instances of where employees that sit a few cubicles away from each other prefer to e-mail rather than walk over or call the other on the phone. E-mail is strictly prohibited and is enforced. They can use any other means of communication, even picking up the phone and talking to each other.
If you are on a training course via your computer (WebEx) and listening in to the presenter, you want your full attention on the seminar or workshop that you are attending at your cubicle. The easiest way to avoid this is to create a "Do Not Disturb" sign and place it somewhere on your cubicle that can be seen clearly.
