When you’re jobhunting , it might seem like the process is endless and youre not finding many options. But there are times of the year when job openings are greater than others. Lets look at why that is and what that means for jobhunting during the rest of the year.
This knowledge will not only enhance your applications but also prepare you for potential interviews. Tailoring them to each specific job is a time-consuming task, yet it is a critical step in capturing the attention of hiring managers and making a standout first impression.
Nearly three-quarters ( 73 percent ) of workers interviewed by Accountemps indicated they would not have a problem looking for new employment before leaving their current firm. Almost half ( 48 percent ) of survey respondents between the ages of 18 and 34 said they are likely to conduct job-search activities at work.
Gone are the days when job applicants scrambled to update their privacy settings and delete compromising photos of party nights from their social accounts before a jobinterview. I could see from her posts that she actually had some great experiences in her previous role, which hadn’t been so apparent on her resume.

“The researchers ran an experiment using data from 20 million LinkedIn profiles, and it showed just how much we rely on weak ties — meaning people we only know slightly — to land new jobs. Their study showed that it’s often our casual acquaintances, rather than our closest friends, who turn out to be our most useful connections in jobhunts.
Agencies have a number of jobs and will select the candidate that fills the requirements, they won’t proactively look for a role that suits you personally. Ensure you are clear with the type of role you want and stick to it so that the agency doesn’t keep sending you unsuitable opportunities. Interview them too.
