The keyboard should usually be at a low height, near the height of your elbows and the mouse should be right next to the keyboard. Try different keyboards and mice – there are many designs on the market. There is a good article on Ergonomic s, as it relates to safe computer use, from the Mechanical Engineering Department at U.C.

I have some clients whose friending policy is to accept all connection requests. In this case, it makes no difference whether they accept them with their own keyboard clicks, or whether I do so for them. I know of someone (not my client, of course) in the “upper echelons&# that doesn’t write their own tweets.

But self-discipline only gets you so far, and it isn’t going to make you a great writer. Until then, read and enjoy. It was called grinding.

I wrote web copy and ebooks and taglines and fiction and all kinds of writerly stuff. It wasn’t very good. I tried writing the mid-sections first, thinking I’d work on the intro after, but that didn’t help. I couldn’t write easily, and it felt like a dirty little secret. That didn’t help.
