In starting 2019 off on hopefully on the right foot, I am looking for advice on how to stay organized with all the meetings. Making a List, Checking it Twice The Board meeting I am preparing for is a two-day event and I dont want to forget anything that I need to do leading up to it, or anything that I need on the day of. I have a checklist for each day with a list of things I have to remember to bring or do before and after the meeting.

I think Tasks is one of Outlooks best-kept secrets, but it shouldnt be and is a great way to follow up on items. If I send an email to a co-worker requesting information, I immediately drag it from my Sent items to my Tasks, set a reminder to follow up and write in the Subject line "Did I get this information". 411 Look Up 411.ca
Another bring-forward and organizing tip my friend shared with me (that she picked up from another assistant along the way) is using two-fold folders, with inside pockets. I always put (OPEN) in the Subject of the meeting so they will know to open the calendar appointment for more information. 411 Look Up 411.ca 411 Look Up 411.ca
This does increase the preparation time, but on the day of the meeting it goes very smoothly with no stress. To prepare a minute template simply use your agenda and put it in minute format. Under each agenda heading you can then record the appropriate information when you are in the meeting. Are you plugged in?
