Within those 2 hours I have to manage my emails and requests and print him either the week or the day agenda with all the meetings and commitments that we have planned for that day/week. What do you enjoy most about your role? Without a doubt the people I work with!

He was also an international traveler so I had to learn everything about time zones, flights and everything in between when your boss travels to a foreign country. In the last year I worked for him he was away from home travelling for at least 80 nights and for the most part it was international travel. And travel he did.

If you become timid when it comes to speaking in a group meeting, provided you know what the agenda items are prior to the meeting, put them in writing in proposal form and give them to the Chair before the meeting or slide them to him during the meeting.

A picky manager who gives you more and more complex tasks without showing recognition or proposing you for a promotion, that’s a disempowering person. If it’s a friendship, see if the person at the end is not having any hidden agendas which will break up the validation process at some point. Rewind and start over.
