This definitely is a skill every assistant needs to know. This is a skill you can use every single day! I am resilient; I practice positive self-esteem, and I chose to ignore the haters. I am confident in my skills and aware of my weaknesses. They are scenarios that assistants can relate to. I choose to not react.
That will increase your self-esteem and you will want to share more often. I finally decided to host a free webinar on March 30, 2017, for administrativeprofessionals whereby I will be pulling back the curtain and sharing some of my secret strategies from when I was an employee for 20 years.

Use this assessment for assistants as a tool to measure your skill level. I wanted to be ready for anything when we sat down together to discuss my progress and my skill set as her Chief Executive Assistant. I decided I should do a self-assessment before my big review. What are the core administrative competencies?
L = low self-esteem. Maintain the other person’s self-esteem. Our ability to trust people is hindered, and we pull away rather than build relationships. C = closed-minded. O = opinionated. N = negative attitude. F = frequent frustrations. I = ignorance. C = creates hostile work environment. T = temperamental.
It is both important to express our views and maintain another person’s self-esteem. I encourage you to work on this vital business skill. I know that is easier said than done because low selfesteem may be the roadblock. I found this link to the Rosenberg SelfEsteem Scale which has some questions we can ask ourselves to see where we are on the selfesteem scale. Now that’s positive self talk. I think I can, I think I can.&#
