In the evolving 21 st century workplace, the role of administrativeprofessionals (APs) has undergone significant transformation. This earned me recognition as an administrative leader and a go-to resource for new admins and their executives within those companies.
Wow, an organization that was actually focused on administrativeprofessionals! I was recently given additional responsibilities of becoming our IS Summer Intern Program Coordinator and providing support for Dr. Stanley Huff, our Chief Medical Informatics Officer, a world-renown medical informaticist.
When you are trying to create change, whether in a process or for the administrative community in your organization, it is much easier to be persuasive when there is a group. The damage can be healed, but it requires a return to psychological safety and a commitment by leaders to a zero-tolerance policy on workplace bullying. Bullying is becoming a medical issue in the workplace, especially for assistants. But why is damaging someone’s brain at work normalized? The damage is visible on brain scans.
At first, this started out for medical reasons—I have to walk at least a half hour each day. We think, “Is this all there is—going to work, doing chores, paying bills, and hanging out with friends?”. But do you know what? Every day can be awesome for us. It’s a state of mind. I’ve gotten on a good walking routine in the morning.

I previously wrote an article on Charities in the Workplace and have seen an increase in the participation in charities at offices I have worked in. One office I worked in together sponsored a child as a workplace charity project. We all participated by writing to our sponsored child and contributed money towards supporting her.
