Eventually, my sister and son took me to California where I had an excellent medical team from John Wayne Brain Cancer Institute. I was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called a clival chordoma. It was massive. I was very ill. I was gone an entire month. My 10-hour surgery was a success. They removed about 95% of the tumor.

I was recently given additional responsibilities of becoming our IS Summer Intern Program Coordinator and providing support for Dr. Stanley Huff, our Chief Medical Informatics Officer, a world-renown medical informaticist.
