The role is absolutely essential to the success of any business, and yet, administrativeprofessionals are often overlooked, under-appreciated and under-utilized. Ironically, “support” professionals often lack the very thing they provide. Businesses simply don’t support their administrativeprofessionals the way they deserve.

It’s been almost a full year since I attended the Conference for Administrative excellence. I saw it during the welcome reception, all day during the trainings, and as we finished, the admins were sharing emails, phone numbers, and business/personal cards to keep in touch. The conference was a game changer for me. And they do!
Some conversations still take place in person…but many others happen via email, in virtual meetings, or within collaboration tools like Slack and Teams. People have no idea they’re missing important conversations, because they simply haven’t been added to a chat group or included on an email.
