Be assertive. When you identify a specific task you can or should take over for your executive, speak up assertively. If that’s a concern directly expressed, be sure to emphasize your ability to learn quickly and your existing skills with similar tasks. Then, ask explicitly for the trust required to make that happen.
If you’re still struggling with time management, organization, professional presence, and communication, focus on amplifying your skills in these key areas. These kinds of leadership skills are only gained through practice and yet, they’re essential for advancement. There’s no substitution for mastery. Proficiency isn’t enough.

Everyday in the workplace our professionalism is tested, there are situations that will be unpleasant to deal with, people who are rude, bosses who are demanding, and work that may seem demeaning, but in today’s economy, keeping a job is like finding a pot of gold, you are fortunate to have it.
