Around these parts hotels are pretty expensive (sometimes unreasonably so) but The Nadler is what you would call a hidden gem. The hotel doesn’t have a bar or restaurant, which might be a deal breaker for some business travellers, but it does have a meeting space for up to 8 people. Our opinions are entirely our own.

I had just spent 2 months travelling around a freezing USA and although back in the UK my body was still a little cold, a little jet lagged and in serious need of some rest and relaxation. for my fillet of beef I thought the food was expensive and some of the dishes unfortunately did not work for me. It was okay.

During my time in Geneva it certainly hadn’t escaped my notice that Geneva is an expensive city: you can’t really escape it (unless you spend all of your time hanging around the central train station). I had spent three days in Geneva and was well aware that everything is ridiculously expensive.

I am always encouraging people to travel to Barcelona and explore everything that the city has to offer including areas that might not be quite on the tourist trail. Chic & Basic Born is a slightly more expensive option than its friend at the zoo but guests get a lot more for their money. Our opinions are entirely our own.

Sustainable events don’t need to be expensive events. So let’s encourage: Any exhibitors you have to travel light and to have simple exhibition stands. Your speakers and your attendees to travel by public transport. Running a sustainable event has to be a bit of a team effort. Think ahead.

We had a great (albeit expensive) time. We went on the first big family trip we’ve had without extended family as we traveled to San Diego. I took part in my first “vertical” beer tasting when my friend Tony invited me and another friend Jeff over to his place to try Driftwood Old Cellar Dwellar from the 2012, 2013, and 2014 bottles.
