My mother, Jeannette Castellano, inspired the creation of the Admin Awards, which began back in 2012 in Dallas, Texas. When my mom retired just shy of her 80th birthday from the profession, she was given a scrapbook that was packed with pages of pictures, letters and writings about what she meant to her co-workers and organization.
